Eleanor Voss, born in 1933 in Antwerp, Belgium, devoted her life to the preservation of European decorative arts. Trained as an art historian at the Sorbonne, she spent much of her career curating private collections and advising restoration projects in Paris and Vienna. Known for her sharp eye and refined taste, she was instrumental in rescuing several 18th-century tapestries from neglect after the war. In her later years, Eleanor turned to writing, publishing memoirs that blend art criticism with quiet reflections on memory, loss, and beauty.
